UW Sailbot is an engineering student design team that’s a part of the University of Waterloo. Every year, the team designs and builds an autonomous sailboat from the ground up. As the co-founder, business team lead, and mechanical co-lead, I am responsible for the team’s finance, purchasing, branding, training, and sponsorship. To attract sponsors, we need a sponsorship booklet to showcase our team and supplement our pitch meetings. I helped raise $13,000 for the competition year using this booklet.
I designed and wrote the full sponsorship booklet to showcase the team’s background, vision, achievements, and sponsorship tiers. The booklet is designed to present a passionate, professional, and youthful feel by displaying team photos, using the color red, and following a consistent style. The final designs are shown below after 2 iterations.
